He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Buehler; and his siblings, Leland Brost, Allen Brost and Florence Heller. He is survived by: his children, Joyce Deffenbaugh (Phil) of Nekoosa, Dick Brost (Linda) of Manawa, George Brost (Mary Sue) of Lee Center, NY, Donald Brost (Tonya) of Nekoosa, Amy Hall (Mark) of Nekoosa and Shawn Joling (Dan) of Kronenwetter; his grandchildren, Shane Deffenbaugh (Mackenzie), Ryan Brost (Johanna), Jeremy Brost (Kailene), Anna Fanning (Will), Meghan Young (Audie), Jenny Gibbs (Matt), Rachel Johnson (Jeff), Ashley Walton (Matt), James Brost, Ben Hall (Hannah) and Sara Hall (Mat Schmidt); and his siblings, Geraldine Gerken, Madeline Stensberg, Laverne Denis, William Brost (Gayl) and Donald Brost (Donna).
