Lois Lonning Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 17, 2024, at the age of 96, Lois Lonning of Neillsville, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orval Buffington and Gertie Buffington (Sleper); her husband C. Gale Lonning; and her daughter-in-law Judy Lonning. She is survived by: her children, Kent Lonning of Neillsville, WI, Connie Packard of Madison, WI, Neal Lonning of Thorp, WI and Joy Murphy (Rich) of Grinnell, IA; and her sisters, Iola Schaefer (Harvey) of Forest City, IA, Sandy Brunsen of Garner, IA and Sherry Grimm (Doug) of Forest City, IA.. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gesche Funeral Home (4 S Grand Ave, Neillsville, WI 54456). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion Hall (6 Boon Blvd, Neillsville, WI 54456).
