He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Haines and Anna Haines (Helgeson); his daughter Connie Lawrenson (Merle); his wives, Dora Wollmuth and Velda Reymers; and his siblings, Robert Earl, Francis Haines (Evelyn), Glenn Haines (Juanita), Ella Gardner (Russell) and Rebecca Goeser (Alex).
He is survived by: his children, Kay Austin (Michael) of Centerville, Tamara Krieger (Scott) of Elwood, Nebraska, Thomas Haines (Margo) of Avon and Crystal Haines of Kansas City, Kansas.. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
