He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Salzmann and Gertrude Salzmann. He is survived by: his wife Debora; his children, Wendy Buch (Justin), Michelle Jankowski, Katie Salzmann and Wayne Salzmann II (Ali); his grandchildren, Charity, Tyler, Caleb, Hayden, Carter, Claudia, Jacob, Emelia, Gwendolyn and AJ; his brothers, Chester and Gary (Suzanne); and his siblings-in-law, Tony Rohloff, Ted Rohloff (Jan) and Diana Grasee.

Despite being a gentle man, he was tough as nails and valiantly fought Lupus, Parkinson's, cancer, strokes, and heart attacks.
