He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Spanbauer and Florence Spanbauer (Armstrong); and his brother-in-law Richard L. Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Stephanie (Quella); his children, Steve "Toby" Spanbauer (Keri Reich), Erynn, Norah, Scott Spanbauer (Debbie Good), Samantha, Lucie Spanbauer, Allison Oskin and Ashley Klein (Oskin); his sister Susan Spanbauer Schmidt; and his pet Pumpkin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
