He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Gyrion and Florence Gyrion (Bovee); and his siblings, Duke Gyrion, Lorne Gyrion, Lee Gyrion (Christina) and Kathy Baum.

He is survived by: his wife Bernice Hoeft; his siblings, Patricia Ebel (Jeff), Michael Gyrion and Daniel Gyrion (Sue); and his sisters-in-law, Dawn Gyrion and Judy Gyrion. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
