He was predeceased by: his son John Nickel; his parents, Gilbert Nickel and Marion Koehn (Wes); his sister Nona Koehn (Gary); and his pets, Sam and Buddy.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Allen; his children, Sandra Meier (Jim) and David Nickel (Lisa); his daughter-in-law Angela Nickel; his grandchildren, Alexa, Brooke Meier, Will, Kyra Nickel, Mason Calkins and Paige Nickel; his brother Allen Nickel (Jamie); and his stepbrother Brian Koehn (Shirley). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
