She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Smuda and Ellen Smuda (Richmond); and her spouse Thomas R. Syson. She is survived by: her children, David Syson (Ann) and Stacey Walther (Kevin); her grandchildren, Grace, Andrew Syson, Jonathan Quick and Nathan Walther; her stepgrandchildren, Amanda, Meaghan Ronayne, Joshua and Nicole Walther; her siblings, Mary Jo Mixtacki (John) and Al Smuda (Susan); her aunt Becky Doherty; and her pet Moose. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A reception was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home (304 S Commercial St, Neenah, WI 54956). A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the East Delavan Union Cemetery (2901 Theatre Rd, Delavan, WI 53115).
