He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Olson and Lola DeWolfe Olson; his wife Ann Frances Elkington; and his siblings, Robert, Harry, Beverly and Louise.

He is survived by: his children, Penny Koppinger (John) of Seneca, SC and Kenneth Olson (Mary) of Eagan, MN.. He is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
