He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Koenen and Della Koenen (Steffes); his sister Gladys Rieden; his brother-in-law Harold Rieden; his brother Eugene Koenen; his sister-in-law Beverly Koenen; his brother Kenneth Koenen; and his sister-in-law Irene Koenen.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Hilt; his children, Michael Koenen (Susan Hicks), Karen Heywood (Christopher) and Jane Bretl (Don); his grandchildren, Eric Heywood (Christine), Sarah Heywood (Jonah Aspegren), Anna Heywood (Seth Ashauer), Nathan Heywood, Evan Bretl (Olivia Young) and Cole Bretl (Grace Schuppe); and his great grandchildren, Lucy and Ellie Heywood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church (620 Division St, Neenah, WI 54956). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
