He was predeceased by: his parents, Rilliey Zimmerman and Caroline Zimmerman (Eicher); his wife Bernice; and his siblings, Gertrude Ernst (John), William Zimmerman (Dorothy), Henry "Hank" Zimmerman, Katherine Knipker (Carl), Charles "Carly" Zimmerman (Eulalie), Lula May Peters (Richard) and Margaret Scheidt (Mick).
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Willems (Harold) of Menasha, WI, Dawn Zimmerman of Neenah, WI and Jean Woelfel (Bob); his stepchildren, Barbara Johnson of Oshkosh, WI and Daniel Prestridge of Las Vegas, NV; his grandchildren, Joel Gall, Amanda Curtis (Dave), Shannon Prestridge (Kevin Hejmanowski), Sara Barbin (Al), Kayla Johnson (Jake) and Jacob Woelfel; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Curtis of Claudia Barbin, A. J, Veronica Hejmanowski and Rowan Johnson.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
