He was predeceased by: his parents, George Berger and Dolores Berger (Knoelke); his wife Gloria; his sister Lois Bergmann; and his sister-in-law Deloris Lirot.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Marie) and Patrick Berger (Amy); his granddaughters, Rebekah Weiss (David) and Rachel Thomas (Ian); and his great grandchildren, Payton, Frederick, Adela, Leopold and Oletta.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Trinity Lutheran Church.
