He was predeceased by: his father Clair Whitney; his former wife Betty Whitney (Boelter); his wife Rose Whitney (Van Den Hueval); his sister Patsy Moore (Gilbert); and his sister-in-law Audrey Whitney.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Whitney (Carol), Mark Whitney (Tammy), Lynn Gray, William Whitney (Jennifer), Calavino Donati (Doria), Susan Roberts and George Whitney; and his brothers, Jay Whitney, Donald Whitney (Marty), Allen Whitney (Sandy) and Tony Baker. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
