He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Dick Klassen and Lewis Clark; his stepgrandfather Tim Gressler; and his stepbrother Thorton Gressler. He is survived by: his parents, Tony Thurber (Heather) and Tracy Gressler (Dan); his children, Mason and Quinn Dutter; his fiancée Marissa Schuelke; his children, Zaelyn, Brayden and Kalob Thurber; his mother-in-law Angie Luebke (Joe); his grandparents, George Ciuplinski (Linda), Nancy Gahr (John Kosmerchock), Pam Klassen and Kate Gressler; his siblings-in-law, Brianna Schuelke (Bret), Michaela Schuelke and Keera Luebke; and his godparents, Marty Thurber and Amy Schmoll. He is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established to provide for the children's future.
