She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Smart and Hazel Smart (Bates); and her siblings, Charlotte Patricia Sexton (Smart), David Smart and Richard Smart of Iron Mountain, MI..
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Anthony Fontecchio; her sons, Paul Fontecchio (Carolei) of Green Bay, WI and Mark Fontecchio (Angie) of Anchorage, AK; her grandchildren, Luke, Gabriel and Ella Fontecchio of Green Bay; her children, Micah, Hannah and Anika Fontecchio of Anchorage, AK.; her sister Mary Jane Smart of Kingsford, MI; her sister-in-law Betty Smart of Kingsford, MI; and her niece Patsy Ann LeMay of Iron Mountain, MI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She did volunteer work at the Ashland County Aging Unit, Retired Services Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Faith in Action, Ashland.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
