He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Ronald Abel, Rex Aicher and Robert Mineau; and his cousins, Shannon Abel and Ryan Aicher.

He is survived by: his parents, Chad Abel and Robin Abel (Aicher); his siblings, Steven Abel and Jenna Abel; and his grandmothers, Romana Abel and Jeanette Mineau. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
