He was predeceased by: his wife Harriet Olson; his parents, Melvin Long and Emma Long; his brothers, Melvin Long, Jr. and Gordon Long; his daughter Ann Marie Long; his niece Kristi Hedrington; and also, Harry and Agnes Olson.
He is survived by: his sons, Thomas Long (Lori) and Peter Long; his grandchildren, Whitney Armstrong (Ian), Ariel Schmoldt (Dylan), Morgen Long (Shawn Peters) and Isaiah Long; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Oliver, Parker Schmoldt, Huxley Armstrong and Emma Schmoldt; and his extended family, Sharon Long, Allen, Sonja Olson, Con and Shirley Olson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and special friends.
