He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert W. Laabs and Lydia Laabs (Spiegelberg); his granddaughter Clare; and his siblings, Orville Laabs (Dorothy), Loma Jean Posselt (Raymond) and Mildred Kopitzke (Leonard).
He is survived by: his wife Geneva Kregel; his children, Carl Laabs (Sanci), Brian Laabs (Lisa) and LuAnn Stensberg (Joel); his grandchildren, Emma Laabs, Roni Laabs, Resa Thomas (Tanner), Jared Laabs (Savannah), Sara, Adam Laabs, Lydia, Siri and Erika Stensberg; his great grandchildren, Chase, Lucas and Charlie; his sister Erma Potratz (Marvin); and his brother-in-law Arthur Kregel (Beverly). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers you may direct memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
