He was predeceased by: his parents, Godfred Hoof and Mary Ann Van Hoof (Bieber); his daughter Rebecca Jean Van Hoof; his brothers, Robert Van Hoof, Bernard "Bernie" Van Hoof, Fred Van Hoof and Carl; his son-in-law Trever Zeller; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Hirt, Jim Higgins and Lou Ellen Van Hoof.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Van Hoof; his children, Michael Van Hoof (Celine), Robert Van Hoof, Alexia Zeller, Richard Van Hoof (Nicole), Raymond Van Hoof (Nicole), Marianne Van Hoof, Cristin Van Hoof, Jennifer and Christopher Van Hoof; and his siblings, Kenneth Van Hoof (Jane), Joanne Higgins and Donna McKee. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
