He is survived by: his wife Linda Nelson; his children, Sharron Nelson of Necedah, Michelle Wipperfurth of Wisconsin Rapids, Tina Nelson Bowman (Chet) of Melrose and Steven Wipperfurth (Melissa) of Wisconsin Rapids; his grandchildren, Stephanie Searles, Jacob Searles, Athen Arzt, Wyatt Bowman, Lakota Nelson, Kyla Cooper, Blake Wipperfurth and Lexi Wipperfurth; his great grandchild Jacob John A. Searles; and his siblings, Iva Bannerman of Nekoosa, Barbara Nelson of Nekoosa, Rose Bagnowski of Nekoosa, Vern Nelson (Judie) of Nekoosa, Violet Bohn of Nekoosa, Delores Nelson of Nekoosa, Laurrie Nelson (Mary) of Nekoosa, Sherri Nelson of Nekoosa and Jean Nelson of Colfax.
