He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vanwick and Marie Bezemek; his grandparents, Thomas and Rose Bezemek; and his siblings, George, Bill, Jim, Dale and Betty.

He is survived by: his wife Sandy of Necedah; his sons, Carl (Jill) of Necedah, Bob (Kim) of Onalaska, WI and John (Tamria) of Necedah; his grandchildren, Steve Bezemek (Tempest), Adam Bezemek (Katie), Jordan Bezemek, Tara Pangborn (Bobby) and Nick Erdman (Monica); his great grandchildren, Adelaide, Sebastian, Harlow, Payten, Amelia, Carson and Desiree; and his sister Marion Andrews (Lloyd) of Nebraska.
