She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Nelson and Marjorie Nelson (Schroeder); her husband Earl Carpenter; her granddaughter Andrea Carpenter; and her sister Kathy Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Julie Rosenberg (Rick), Jill Baxter (Ron), Madison, Greg Carpenter (Debby) and Jacki Englebert (Joe); her grandchildren, Kyle Rosenberg (Casey), Kari Rosenberg, Abigayle Baxter, Ben Baxter, Alex Carpenter, Jolaina Rodriguez (Danny), Jocelyn, Joelle, Josie, Jonathon and Jaelyn Englebert; her siblings, Robert Nelson (Lynn) and Lois Nischke; her friend Kathy Schmidt; and her brother-in-law Gary Carpenter (Ellen). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
