She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith Patnode and Virginia Patnode (Bayer); her parents-in-law, Howard and Benadetta Hegler (Milazzo); her siblings-in-law, Richard Schmus and Joan Nowak (Hegler); and her great-nephew Theo Tulachka.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald "Jerry" Hegler; her daughters, Elizabeth Winske (Craig), Katherine Dunlap (Matthew) and Julia Hegler; her grandsons, Dominic, Spencer and Logan Winske; her sisters, Margaret Schmus, Mary Tulachka (Gregory) and Nancy Wahlforth (Craig); and her brother-in-law Mark Nowak. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
