He is survived by: his wife Miriam Kauffman; his children, Monica (Leonard Headings) of Lorimor, IA, Lucinda (Dennis Headings) of Lorimor, IA, Charlotte (Vernon Kempf) of Sedalia, MO, Troy (Ellen) of Muscoda, Kristal (Marlin Zimmerman) of Muscoda, Richard (Pauline) of Muscoda and Lisa (Morris Zimmerman) of Muscoda; and his brother Charles (Betty Headings) of Muscoda. He is also survived by 44 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
