She was predeceased by: her parents, Albin Hynek and Norma Hynek (Peckham); her stepson David Dieter; her sister Jo Lumsden; and her son-in-law Marko Alfano.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Dieter; her children, Duane Kilby (Susan), Robert Kilby (Nancy), Rollene Ewens (Jerry), Rhonda Maney (Jay) and Dorene Steinmetz (Dale); her stepdaughters, Sheryll Norback (David) and Jennifer Falconer (Scott); and her sister Betty Hynek. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
