She was predeceased by: her husband Warren E. McCarthy. She is survived by: her children, Shannon (Nick Wember), Colleen Trevino (Scott), Kara and Sean (Laurie); and her brothers, Gerald Suchowski (Diane) and Thomas Suchowski. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Susan's memory to the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard.
