Robert E. Sauer Obituary
Robert "Rob" Sauer was called home by his Lord and Savior on January 8, 2023, after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God, supported him in his battle, and ultimately gave him peace. Rob was born to Eugene (Roberta) Sauer and Barbara Sell on October 23, 1966. He was the oldest of two brothers and one sister. At a young age Rob had always been a hard worker and his faith grew a little more each day.
Rob was blessed with a loving wife, Trisha, of 33 years and had two cherished children, Robert Barrett and Jessica Bulson. Throughout Rob's battle he stayed faithful and calm. He got to witness the birth of his first grandchild Gideon Winslow Barrett. Being a grampy, Rob spent many days building a strong loving relationship with his grandson and teaching him many things.
Although the battle was tough at times, Rob stayed strong. He was blessed to be able to walk his little girl down the aisle. Jessica married Greg Bulson. Rob was immediately accepting of Greg, he saw that Greg's faith was much like his own and knew he could trust that he would take care of his little girl. Rob was a fighter and accomplished many things in his life from being a devoted father, a dedicated friend, a truck driver of 30 years, as well as rebuilding his 1972 javelin with his brother Nick. Rob had a variety of hobbies from kicking it with the guys, fishing with his daughter, building a Lego table from scratch for his son, to always having a project remodeling the house with his wife.
Rob had joined the men of valor at Brooklife Church. During this time his battle became harder. The faith these men shared helped him like it was their own battle. Rob truly was a man of valor in the way he carried himself through life and through his faith in the Lord. Now that Rob's valiant battle has come to an end, please join us in remembrance as we welcome him to his new heavenly home.
