Jerome Werner Obituary
Jerome "Jerry" Werner, of the Village of Vernon, passed away on April 3, 2025, at the age of 73.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Linda Werner (née Thomson)—"my woman, my woman, my wife.". Proud and loving father of Christopher Oliver (Julie), Alison O'Connell (Tom), and Matthew Werner. Cherished grandpa to Caleb, Claira, EdieJane, Bryce, Wyatt, Avery, and JosieJane.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Evelyn Werner; his beloved in-laws, Norman and Janet Thomson; and many dear friends and family who went before him.
Jerry had a zest for life and a heart full of love. His greatest joys were his beloved wife, Linda, his children, grandchildren, music, and his guitars. Traveling in their camper to countless destinations brought him endless happiness, creating cherished memories on the road with Linda by his side and their loyal dog companions along for the ride. He also loved riding his Harley, taking in the open road and the freedom that came with it. Whether hunting in the quiet of the woods, taking his grandchildren for rides on the Gator, or simply enjoying time with loved ones, Jerry lived for connection, laughter, and the simple joy of making others smile. He was comforting, compassionate, caring, and always ready with a joke to lighten the mood. His lively spirit and kind heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Jerry proudly served with the United States Army from 1970–1972, carrying the honor, integrity and dedication with him throughout his life. He carried those lessons forward, teaching them to his children and grandchildren.
Jerry had a talent for repairing just about anything and was proud to be a Ford Senior Master Technician. Known as "Grandpa's Fix-it Garage," he was everyone's go-to for anything that needed fixing—cars, tools, gadgets, you name it.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 9th at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St., Mukwonago) from 4:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.
