Greg S. Graney Obituary
Greg S. Graney, of Mukwonago, passed away way too soon on June 17, 2023, at the age of 58. He was born June 22, 1964, in Chicago, the son of Henry and Martha (Shelby) Graney. Greg graduated from St. Charles High School in 1982 and went on to earn his associates degree from Elgin Community College. Greg had an amazing, outgoing personality which served him well in his career in sales, with 7Up, Coca Cola, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Five Star Painting. He married the love of his life Judy Carano on December 31, 1994, and they welcomed their son Thomas the month before their first anniversary.
Greg was a dedicated family man, with a servant's heart, and cared so completely for his family. In 2005, the family moved to Mukwonago Wisconsin, but Greg remained a steadfast fan of the Chicago sports teams, and was lucky enough to see all of his favorite teams win championships in his lifetime, the longest awaited being the Chicago Cubs. Greg loved traveling with family and friends. The most recent trip, this past April, crossed two items off his bucket list, a Cubs spring training game and a visit to the Grand Canyon.
Family and friends will remember Greg for his sense of humor, human calculating abilities, knowledge of all things trivia, especially sports, music and movies and for his love of animals. He loved 70's and 80's music and spent many a night putting together jigsaw puzzles.
Greg is survived by his loving and devoted wife Judy, his son Thomas (Sarah Lenz), his sisters, Kimberly (Dale) Lackey, Jan (Lars) Nohling, Beth (Tim) Robbe, Lisa Graney Carlson, and Margaret Kathy Graney. Greg is further survived by his father and mother-in-law Tom and Cathy Milburg, sister-in-law Rachael (Dave) Cieslicki, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Martha Graney, his sister-in-law Niki Kepner, and nephews Ben Lackey, and baby Jonathon.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago) from 12 NOON until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.
