Brenda L. (Skibbe) Szpot Obituary

Brenda Lee Szpot "Queen B" entered Eternal Life on March 15, 2025, after a brave battle with her third bout of cancer. She was surrounded by her family and friends and was 64 years old.

Brenda is survived by her beloved husband of 20 years Dan Szpot, sons Mitchell and Tyler Hurth, daughter Naomi (Jacob) Absalon, and grandchildren Lacey, Kylie, Jaxon Hurth, and Nathaniel and Lucy Absalon.

Also left to cherish her memory are her dear mother Donna Skibbe, brothers Charles and Russell Skibbe, sister Renee Sanders, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, best friend Cat White and her Stiletto sisters.

Queen B was Brenda's given road name. She was a proud member of the Lake Country Stilettos on Steel (WI chapter), an all-female motorcycle group dedicated to connecting, mentoring, and empowering female motorcycle riders. She loved being a lady rider and was an intricate thread in a beautiful tapestry of sisterhood. She was also a national member of the Chrome Divas.

Brenda's sewing machine was an extension of herself. She loved to sew and had a talent for embroidery, making special treasures for those she held dear. She also took great delight in traveling, as well as finding unusual trinkets at antique shops with her husband. Above all, her greatest joy was her family.

Always a lady, Brenda exuded beauty, style, and grace, and loved all things pink and sparkly. Her friends would tell you that she was full of spirit and that her contagious smile radiated love and joy…that there were countless endearing traits illustrating the kind and gentle woman she was.

With unrelenting courage Brenda battled cancer 3 times while living her life to the fullest. Triumphing over first breast cancer for 20 years, followed by small cell carcinoma for 7 years, she never conceded or gave up hope, even during her most recent battle with pancreatic cancer.

Brenda is preceded in death by her former husband Rick Hurth and dear sister Sharon Beaver.

Brenda was very loved, and in addition to her family, will be missed by all of her "fur babies" and a sisterhood that will certainly transcend beyond this earthly life. Her warmth, love, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her…this shall be her legacy.

A visitation will be held at NOON, followed by a memorial service at 1PM on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago (930 Main Street).
