He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Schreck and Edna Schreck (Schoeman); and his siblings, Allen Schreck (late Jean), Lou Miller (late Carolyn) and Barry Schreck (Jackie).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Wilburn; his children, Sue Pedersen (Ron), Dale Schreck and Luanne Trakas; his grandchildren, Jamie Caldwell (Jamey), Tim Trakas (Nicole) and Tony Trakas (late Dawn); and his great grandchildren, Avery Caldwell, Tyler Trakas, Zachary Trakas, Alyssa Trakas and Ella Trakas.
