He was predeceased by: his father Eugene Mussel; his stepfather Jack Claringbole; and his sister Eleanor Hegman. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his son Gene Mussel; his mother Gail Claringbole (Sigrist); his siblings, Sandy Burkhalter (Mike), Debbie Chicorel (Ralph), Pattie Pittelman (Barry) and Tommy Mussel (Mickey); his brother-in-law Norm Hegman; his pet Cisco; and his caregiver Paula of Mary's Hospital. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
