It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stephen Dean Skalet Jr. of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, born in Black Earth, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Sr. Skalet and Inez Skalet (Brager); his siblings, Larry Skalet and Kristi Hipenbecker; and his brother-in-law Phil Erickson.

He is survived by: his wife Mitzie; his children, Craig Skalet (Paige), Randall Skalet, Susan Henderson (Tom), Beth Wittenwyler (Scott), Wendy Scheidegger (Karl), Joel Skalet (Sue) and Melissa Munson (Steve); his sisters, Sharon Erickson, Rosalie Richardson (John) and Judy Dorhorst (Steve); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hipenbecker and Sharon Royston (Dick). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
