He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kenneth Laufenberg and Rose Laufenberg; his wife Pamela S. Radtke; his children, Nicole (Dan), Brandon (Mackenzie) and Alexander; his siblings, Steve, Jim, Mike, Greg, Connie, Donna, Deb and Chris; and also Pam. He was also cherished by dogs, and Randy's special friends, his cats.

When the pandemic arrived, Randy took great joy in hiking with his family members, not a single trail sign escaped his careful attention.
