She was predeceased by: her father Delbert Evans; her husband Charles Miess; her brothers, Verle Evans and George Evans; and her stepmother Evelyn J. Evans (Stine).

She is survived by: her children, Michael Evans and Michelle Thode (Timothy); her grandchildren, Garret Evans, Christina Thode (Nathaniel Korevaar), Ty Evans and Peter Evans; her brother Eldon Evans (Sandy); and her sister-in-law Donna Evans.
