He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Martin and Twila Clarinda Dammen (Gilbertson); his former wife Karen Hinrichs; his sons, Larry, David and Jim Dammen; and his granddaughter Brooke Dammen.
He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Simpson (Tschanz); his wife Sandi Dammen of Madison; his children, Kathy Thronson (Tracy) of Blue Mounds, Jenda Simpson of McFarland and Steve Simpson (Kristen) of Verona; his grandchildren, Nate Dammen of Blanchardville, Chris Dammen (Katie Robelia) of Shullsburg, Maddie Thronson (Cal Kohls) of West Allis, Luke Thronson (Ashley Rickey) of Black Earth, Cody Rufener (Rosa) of Norfolk, VA, J'Lee Hanson (Colin LeFebvre) of McFarland, Pierce Hanson of Madison, Easton Simpson and Annika Simpson of Verona; his great grandchildren, Liam, Ethan Rufener of Norfolk, VA and Kason Thronson of Black Earth; and his brother Clayton Dammen (Barbara) of Darlington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
