He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvan Hanna and Malena Hanna (Auestad); and his siblings, John and Mabel Brenum. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Thompson); his children, Kristin Hanna (Ted Thompson) and Wade Hanna (Betsy); and his grandchildren, Marty, Maggie and Molly Hanna.

Due to safety concerns from the ongoing pandemic, a private family memorial service will be held at the family farm.
