John Matis Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Matis of Mosinee, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John P. Matis, Jr. and Mary H. Pazdur; and his sister-in-law Suzette Matis. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Frodl; his children, Randy Matis (Allison Slavick) of Mosinee, Rodney Matis (Sue) of Mosinee, Michelle Nechuta (Todd) of Mosinee and Melanie McAllister of Mosinee; his grandchildren, Rochelle Gorski (Matthew), Benjamin Nechuta (Natasha), Marissa Ashbeck (Maverick), Taylor Polka, Krista Polka (Jordan Budnik), Ryan Polka, Destiny McAllister, Jordan Matis, Adam Lindner, Taylor Lindner and Forest Matis (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Connor Nechuta, Adalyn Matis and Easton Matis; his siblings, Carol Bittner (David) and Harold Matis (Janice); and also, Marge Mackey, Melanie S. Matis, Chris Polka and Zach McAllister. He is also survived by five children, 11 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, along with many special friends.
