He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Grochmal and Elizabeth Grochmal (Cwiklik); his wife Winifred Kurzynski; his daughters, Audrey and Annette; and his siblings, Stanley, Sophie Lesniak, Lottie Bielen, Stephanie Opyd and Helen Gorski.
He is survived by: his children, Fred Grochmal (Nancy), Shirley Drapcho (Joe) of Waconia, MN, Beverley Wisz (Myron) and Colleen Meis (Jerry); his grandchildren, Kristen VerHaagh (Randy), Katie Verstegen (Paul), Joe Grochmal (Sarah), Jessica Drapcho, Andrea Mitchell (Joe), Joseph Drapcho (Ann), Nicole Lokken (Eric), Darrell Wisz (Lanore), Rebecca Meis and Lindsey Meis; his great grandchildren, Trynn, Zoe, Kent, Hazel, Lydia, Charlie, Ellis, Wilson, Jay, Macie, Brady, Aubrey, Porter and Carissa; and his sisters, Betty Romatowski (Florian) and Leona Kittell. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, a private family service will be held.
