He was predeceased by: his father John C. "Hans". He is survived by: his mother Ruth M. Marty (Stettler) of Albany; his children, Nichole Newton (Jesse) of Pardeeville, WI, Alma Mentz (Curtis) of Monticello, Julia Marty-Watson (Anthony) of Monticello and Hans Marty of Monticello; his grandchildren, Tanner, Morgan, Madelynn, Easton and Mabel; and his siblings, Fred Marty (Susan) of Monticello, Sally Leitner (Don) of Erie, PA and Luanne Prescott (Jonathan) of Tigerton, WI. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial fund will be established in John's name in lieu of flowers.
