He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Ott and Anna Ott (Klassy); and his brothers, Hervey, Eldon and Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Gilma Martha Severson; his children, Carolyn Babler (Jeff), Wayne Ott (Sherrie), David Ott and Sharon Huettl (Robert); his grandchildren, Shaun Karlen, McKaylah Hilliard, Riley Hilliard, Lexie Babler and Nettie Babler; and his great grandchild Keaton Karlen.
