Vincent Metcalf Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 9, 2022, at the age of 97, Vincent Metcalf of Montello, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Metcalf and Jessie Metcalf (Hall); his wife Mary Kearns; his son-in-law Bill Sayles; and his siblings, Max (Katie), Mary Lou Bisch (Leo), Bill (Delores), Blanche, Robert (Mary Ann), Eunice Soda and Judy Steinhaus.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Ellen Sayles of Frenchtown, MT, Harry of Montello and Kathy Knox (Jack) of Butler, MO.; his grandchildren, Jesse (Leigh), Hope (Ryan), Heidi (Chad), Gretchen, Lynn, Chelci (Gus) and Kate; his stepgrandchildren, Scott Sayles (Diane), Kent Sayles (Emily), Jacqueline Iseler (Matt) and Julie Jackson (Stu); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia, Spencer and Aiden; and his siblings-in-law, Jon Steinhaus, Kenneth Soda, Diane Metcalf and Mary Kearns. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 277 E. Montello Street, Montello, WI 53949 or the Montello Historic Preservation Society Elevator Fund, P.O. Box 473, Montello.
