He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Valborg; his wife Joan; his siblings, Harry, LaVerne, Harold, Norbert Ludwigson and Doris Hasse; his brothers-in-law, Urs Meyer and Harold Boese; his son-in-law Robert Porreca; and his grandchildren, Adam Ludwigson, Patrick Colvin and Tanisha Porreca.
He is survived by: his children, John (Cindi), Thomas (Sandy), Kris Ludwigson, Valerie Porreca, SuAnn Hayter (Randy), Marina Ludwigson, Kari Colvin and Lori Strande (Eric); and his sisters, Nancy Goller (Dan), Ruth Boese and Jean Meyer.
