It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Wakup of Montello, Wisconsin, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George H. Wakup and Violet Wakup (Lorenz); his son-in-law William Ferry; his grandchildren, Eric, Samantha and Elizabeth; and his siblings, Joann Calvin (Robert) and Raymond Wakup (Geri).
He is survived by: his wife Norma Rutt; his children, Victoria Urbanski (Stanley) of Chicago, IL, Mary Wakup of Shorewood, IL and George W. Wakup of Midlothian, IL.; his grandchildren, Dawn, Jennifer (Ryan), Sara (Pat), Kimberly (John), Violet (Sergio), Damien and Benjamin; and his sister Virginia Kopacz (James). He is also survived by other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to the family for a memorial that will be established in George's name.
