He is survived by: his wife Melanie Ray; his sons, Michael Ray of Monroe and Matthew Ray of Monroe; his siblings, Nelson Ray, Harry Lee Shoemaker, Richard Reedy and Ida Mae Keeler; his mother-in-law Jaunita Heatwole; and his siblings-in-law, Anthony Cowens (Lisa) and Janet Craig (Timmy).
