He was predeceased by: his parents, William B. Bauer and Irene McHoes Bauer (Rodewig); his stepfather Clifford Bauer; and his niece DeeAnn Cass. He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Abey; his wife Candace McHoes of Monroe; his sons, Steve McHoes (Tracy), David McHoes (Christine) and Mark McHoes (Jennifer); his stepsons, Alexander Oestreicher (Anne) and Zach Oestreicher (Sara); his grandchildren, Nichole, Zach, Jacob, Payton, Paige, Joshua and Jeremiah; and his brother Robert McHoes (Bonnie). He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
