He was predeceased by: his parents, John Segner and Maggie Segner (Hale); his wife Mary Lou (Cathedral); his brother Elton Segner; his nieces, Nancy Gruenewald and Cathy Winters; and his siblings-in-law, Harold and Selma Kernan.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Darlyne Segner; his nieces and nephews, Wayne A. Segner (Laurie), Dick Gruenewald, Wes Winters, Lori Klemm (Dan) and Heidi Treuthardt (Rob); and his close friend Mary Lou Callin.

He was the Vice Chairman, of Have A Heart Foundation, in Bolingbrook, Ill., from 1999-2014.
