He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thesing and Colette Thesing (Kaczorowski); his brother Patrick; his niece Karla Thesing; his parents-in-law, Karl and Luise Stein; and his aunts and uncles, Anthony Thesing, Elizabeth Blaha (Cliff), Gerald Thesing (Juanita), Dale Thesing and Edward Thesing.
He is survived by: his wife Christine Stein; his son Nathan Thesing; his stepchildren, Lisa Kumfer (Bryan) and Craig Nolen (Andrea); his grandchildren, Emma, Betsy Kumfer, Cleo, Karl, Lisl and Otto Nolen; and his siblings, Monica Thesing, Tom Thesing, Donna Brink (Greg), Theresa Moncada (Fidel), Patty Livingston (Tim Niles), Neil Thesing (Corlis), Andy Thesing (Sherry), MaryBeth Thesing, Lori Ann Reyes, Jim Joe Thesing (Shawn Kiley) and Jennifer Sanchez (Ismael). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
