He was predeceased by: his parents, Shorty Holmes and Ann Holmes (Howe). He is survived by: his wife Penny M. Krahenbuhl; his children, Leah McDonald (Brian) of Mineral Point, WI, Travis Holmes (Stephanie) of Argyle and Jessie Sigg (Kyle) of Hollandale, WI; and his siblings, Tom Holmes (Julie) of Brodhead, WI, Jim Holmes of Argyle, Patti McGowan (Mike), Michele Gruenberg (Craig) of Hales Corners, WI and Laurie Meixelsperger (David) of Middleton, WI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
