He is survived by: his wife Karen Buttke; his daughters, Lori Hawkins (Robert) of Monroe, Cheryl Updike (Bryan) of Monroe and Tracy Hawkinson (Greg) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Brandon, Cody, Kelsey Vavra, Dylan Hawkins, Kayla Updike (Jacob Johnson), Sydney Updike and Alaina "Al" Hawkinson; his siblings, Michael McGinley of Janesville and Diane Wyss of Monroe; and his close friend Joy Blumer of Monroe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
